The North Central Review Pty Ltd is a newspaper publishing company based in Kilmore. Their distribution covers a geographical area from Seymour/Nagambie to Doreen/Mernda and across to Romsey/Lancefield. NCR have been producing newspapers in the local area for 140 years, and currently print 17,000 papers each week as well as having a thriving commercial print business, Newspaper House Printing. My main duties involve producing creative and effective artwork for five newspaper mastheads under The North Central Review Pty Ltd as well as completing commercial printing tasks from quoting and artwork through to finishing (printing, trimming, stapling, delivery etc.) for Newspaper House Printing.
I am currently employed at BWS under the Woolworths Group banner as a liquor supervisor. As a supervisor, it is my job to manage the day to day operations of the store, manage stock and give customers an authentic customer experience. From time to time I design, produce and implement various Point-of-Sale advertising and signage around the store to help customers find what they're looking for and to make the store look professional.
I started my freelance work in 2010 as 'Zak Bowen Design & Photography'? and have worked for many clients around the world including MDC MoveDanceCo, School of Skills Basketball, Project Underdog Rescue, Creative Prime, Mill Park Secondary College and The Lakes South Morang P-9 School, just to name a few. In June 2015, I started working as 'Zak Bowen Creative'.

Zak Bowen is a graphic and communication designer who specialises in corporate identity, branding and advertising with more than 7 years of experience creating impactful visual brand solutions for high-profile clients across numerous industries. He is currently working as a Graphic Designer at Newspaper House, a publication and print production company based in Kilmore.
He pairs a broad range of creative design experience in graphic design with a deep understanding of the psychology behind design to create effective campaigns and corporate narratives.
In 2010, Zak founded Zak Bowen Creative (ZBC) - a freelance graphic design business based in Melbourne, Australia. Zak has worked with numerous clients such as MDC MoveDance Co, School of Skills Basketball, and other businesses around the world. While running ZBC, Zak has been able to develop and explore his graphic design skills. He has been invited to attend numerous design conferences and workshops around the world.
Prior to starting ZBC, Zak was a senior graphic designer and partner at Zalca Enterprises - a graphic design, web development and digital production partnership founded in 2011 by Zak and his friend Liam Philp. Zalca ceased operations in late 2014.
Zak has earned numerous graphic design qualifications. He has earned a Certificate II in Printing & Graphic Arts at Kangan Institute’ and an Associate Degree in Graphic Design at RMIT University. He has also just completed a Bachelor of Communication Design at RMIT University.
Zak is currently based in Melbourne, Australia. He has a strong passion for music, nature and of course, design.
