I began working at the Design Foundation 3 years ago as a volunteer. However, as a result of my dedication and initiative, within 8 months I had become part of the official team; working full time and taking on the official role of Digital Coordinator for the agIdeas 2014 event.
This year however, I have also taken on the additional challenge of the Production Coordinator position as well, which has lead me to oversee the administration of international speaker and committee groups, event planning, project management and art direction.
As Digital Coordinator I was responsible for the art direction of the entire conference. This also included organising speaker presentations, coordinating timings (of presentations and speaker change-overs), providing technical support for all speakers and event crew, as well as liaising with third-party service providers.
In addition to the above, there were many administrative tasks that required my attention before, during and after the conference, including: coordinating the hire and purchase of equipment and devising a full running schedule for the entire technical team and structure of the week – to be strictly adhered to for the week-long period of the conference and Melbourne International Design Week.

My studies cover and include Multimedia and Interactive Media (Advanced Diploma and Bachelor qualifications), Communication Design (Major), administrative and event management, AV management as well as extensive customer service and retail skills.
I have a developed the ability to absorb information quickly and learn best on the job. I am self-teaching, hard-working and provide excellent results under pressure and tight deadlines. I have the ability to preform and thrive in any work environment.
I am currently a part of the Design Foundation, a non-for-profit group responsible for large-scale design events. This has fed into my love for design, learning new skills and taking on extensive responsibilities.
