Raziah Geneid is a business woman and construction and property developer in Malaysia. She is the Director of Kumbulan Parebena Sdn. Bhd, a company promoting natural conservation and ecotourism in Malaysia. She is also the Royal Mulu Resort’s Executive Director and has promoted ecotourism through particular focus on developing the Royal Mulu Resort and Mulu National Park.
Throughout her career, Raziah Geneid has combined her expertise in property development, construction, business, tourism, and love of nature. As Director of Kumpulan Parabena Sdn. Bhd, she has been involved in a number of large development products, including the construction of 6,500 affordable housing units in Malaysia, the Kuching Deep - water Port, and the Sarawak Outdoor Stadium. Raziah Mahmud also serves as corporate strategy advisor the CEO of Kumpulan Construction Sdn. Additionally, she is the Executive Director of the Royal Mulu Resort and Executive Chairman of the Miri Marriott Resort. In the capacity of the former role, Raziah Geneid was instrumental in establishing Mulu National Park as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Raziah Mahmud achieved a Business diploma from the Mara Institute of Technology and trained as a Licensed Company Secretary at Malaysia’s Pejabat Pendaftar Syraikat.
Personal life and contributions:
Raziah Geneid lives with her husband in the Sarawak region of Malaysia. She has seven children and enjoys exercising, dancing, singing, and traveling.
Raziah Mahmud Geneid is affiliated with the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs and was granted the 2004 award for “Innovative Women Entrepreneur of the Year in Construction and Property” for her achievements in the property industry.
She was also appointed as Kuching’s honorary consul to the Republic of Poland and strove to strengthen cultural, economic, and social ties between Malaysia and Poland. In recognition of this role, she received “The Knights Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland”.
Raziah Mahmud Geneid is instrumental in community development efforts and has regularly contributed to various causes for the bettering of the Malaysian people, including the Association of Welfare of Mentally Retarded Children, the Sarawak Children Cancer Society, the Kuching Autistic Association, and more. Currently, she is involved in development projects to construct and two higher education institutions and 1,000 units of housing in Bintulu.
