In the Thicket is a creative film production company
based in Darlinghurst. We produce video
content using either or a combination of live action, stop motion, design,
illustration, 2D&3D animation, motion graphics, and more. Our belief is
that creatively executed video content has the power to educate, stir emotion
and influence change.
We are now
looking for an
enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant
Editor with a
demonstrated interest in post-production and editing.
A perfect knowledge of video formats, encoding, and an advanced
knowledge of Premiere are compulsory.
· Responsible for all incoming
and outgoing media; ingesting and transcoding rushes
· Responsibility for quality
control of online assets
· Managing our archive tape
system and FTP server (Wiredrive)
· Exporting various file formats,
· Premiere /FCP project set up for
· Edit simple project
· Responsible for the upkeep of
the post facility; maintaining our edit suites, post-production and server room
What we are looking for:
At least 18 months experience in a similar role
A strong aptitude for prioritising
The ability to multi-task and perform under stress
Strong personnel skills, passionate, well organised and the
ability to work independently
Excellent eye for detail

We’re currently working on redoing client portal and ecommerce website – with a focus on the mobile experience– and need a UX designer to work across both projects.
As a UX Designer you are the voice of the customer. You’re an innovative natural problem solver, and in the know about what’s happening in the digital space. In all of your interactions with stakeholders you advocate the users wants and needs. Though this is a true UX role, you will have an appreciation for good ui and interaction design and will be able to work with our designers to offer educated solutions in this space.
