We are seeking a new Senior Digital Designer to grow our expanding team to help us deliver best in class apps and websites for all of our brands.
The Senior Digital Designer will work alongside our Developers and Creative Director to conceptualise, create and implement visuals for our entire digital consumer facing real-estate with particular focus on our App & Web based projects. From click & collect native apps to responsive websites, promotional websites, EDM’s, Digital signage and Social Media you will be responsible for the look and feel of all brands in the digital domain.
As a creative thinker you will be able to add real value to the design process bringing a wealth of UX knowledge to every project. The role requires a ‘can do’ and flexible approach as you will be required to work on a diverse range of projects. Your designs will be rolled out across all channels with the help of the Junior Digital Designer who you will work closely with.

Reporting directly to our Development Manager, these roles are a key part of how Redballoon functions and continues to grow.
Duties and Responsibilities
Implement new functionality on the Redballoon consumer facing website
Extend and maintain internal web applications
Use modern web standards to build responsive sites and dynamic applications based on static design comps, prototypes, and wireframes.
Deliver quality work on time and on budget
Be a positive contributor to technology team and engage in group discussions around industry standards, emerging front-end technologies and how we might use them
Conduct code reviews
Collaborate with designers, analysts, and other members of the development team, answering questions and providing feedback
Find creative but practical solutions to novel problems
Skills & Experience Required
3-5 years experience developing rich, interactive front-end applications and sites
Experience with at least one modern frontend framework - AngularJs or React
A familiarity with modern web technologies such as Sass, Less, WebPack, Grunt, Gulp, etc
Expertise in cross-browser compatibility issues
A passion for web applications, a thirst for new technologies and the drive to always be excellent at what you do
Best practices and current trends for optimum user experience (UX)
Good working knowledge of using GIT
Strong communication, positive, detail oriented and the ability to work in an organised fashion, taking initiative and providing stakeholder follow-up where necessary
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail
Experience with mobile responsive emails
Experience with Agile methodologies
Continuous integration / deployment
