Productive Procrastination will launch LEDA, its
inaugural leadership and interpersonal skills behaviour change platform, in
early 2017. Our vision is to
grow and improve leaders through innovative solutions, and we strive to manifest
what our platform teaches, including resilience, growth-mindset and empathy.
order to help accomplish that vision, we are seeking to add key members to our
Productive Procrastination is looking for a lead
animator to join us and both animate and direct LEDA’s animation team.
We are looking for a creative individual who can understand our
mission and collaborate on the creation of animated shorts, following an
established art direction but also identifying new ways to use it to support
You will participate in the creation of scripts for these animated cartoons,
both by giving opinions and ideas on how to best convey specific teachings, and
by using your animation expertise to estimate the difficulty of producing the
You will also work with and manage our current freelance animators,
and serve as their point of contact for animation-related topics. As an
in-house lead, the rest of the team will refer to you when it comes to making
decisions that are related to LEDA’s animated cartoons.
Finally, you will provide advice and guidance in establishing new
optimal workflows, as we continually iterate on our content creation process, in
order to create a consistent experience across web and mobile, in cartoons but
also games and filmed interviews.
We are looking for someone for a three-month contract who is available
to start immediately. There is potential for the position to become full-time
when the contract expires. We strongly encourage diverse candidates to apply.
As we are a new company, all team members are expected to contribute
to ideas, company direction, and be prepared to take on responsibilities and
tasks beyond their traditional role. You will participate in frequent content
reviews where you will have the chance to give your opinion on the platform's
content, even outside your specific field. Your opinion about all parts of the
platform will be solicited and valued. Similarly, the whole team will provide
feedback on the animations, ensuring that the vision is consistent and conveyed
properly throughout all phases of the creation process; so being a team player
is a crucial aspect of this position.
Our team is highly motivated. It is important that all members believe
in LEDA’s goal of positive social behaviour change. As a lead animator, you will
be able to both express this through fun, engaging ideas for the cartoons,
while maintaining enough seriousness to keep our project management tool up to
date and supervise the work of several freelance animators.
We are looking for someone who’s had experience working with all kinds
of tools, on different types of projects, and across several platforms. Any
experience in creating animations for specifically digital platform (like native
web), or cross-media projects, will be highly valued. Experience working in and
managing teams will also be a strong asset.
Current methods of teaching leadership and
interpersonal skills have not been effective in creating long-term behavioural
change. Our platform is designed to close this gap, focusing on delivering
relevant content, keeping it top of mind, and programming in regular practice
and application to promote enduring change.
Using the latest evidence-based behaviour change
research, our mission is to contribute to the development of resilient,
positive, socially-minded leaders who have a positive impact on a changing
world. We aspire to contribute to the creation of more healthy, ethical and
productive work environments that foster sustainable diversity, and ultimately,
to create positive social outcomes at scale.
