We are looking for a mid weight designer with 3-5 years industry experience to join our fast paced Melbourne studio.
You will need to be able to balance multiple projects at once, work well in a team environment, have a positive attitude and above all be passionate about your work.
If you have a strong knowledge of print and digital design, are proficient in Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop this could be the role for you.

We are a dynamic business providing administration and marketing support to 86 independent trade outlets nationally and via our warehouse, market and distribute our own brand of trade tools and construction products.
A role in our marketing department has become available for a Graphic Designer. The person needs to be an ideas person who is not only creative and experienced in their trade, but capable of contributing to the think tank in all things marketing.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities.Creating visual designs that effectively communicate brand identity.Maintaining a consistent visual brand identity (according to brand guidelines) & direction for company brands across channels/platforms.Produce marketing collateral to brief, from concept to completion for the company brand, including but not limited to adverts, flyers, web/digital resources, corporate stationary, brochures, academic materials, signage and other marketing materials as required.Production of engaging and effective materials for marketing campaigns and social media platforms.Designing and creating accurate and effective print ready artwork in multiple formats (ai, pdf, eps) and digital marketing resources (jpg, gif, png, tif, psd) in a timely manner.Catalogue design and layout, including collating of ads and support materials. Includes creative input and creation of the publications.Communicate and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective design solutions.Photo editing retouching, colour correcting and optimisation of images.Ability to handle multiple briefs at once.Management internal library of design resources and assets.
Skills RequiredA tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent.Minimum two years design industry experience in an in-house capacity or similar role.A high standard of competency in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat.)Be competent in the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)An understanding of Mac and PC platforms.Have an understanding of Wordpress.A strong portfolio of creative work spanning print and digital.Understand the elements for creating a good ad, or support materials for a new product.Exceptional attention to visual detail, aesthetic quality & proofing documents.A high level of general literacy.Pre-press and print production knowledge.Excellent communication and time management skills.The ability to focus on the quality yet timely execution of projects.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage workflow under pressure.Creative flair and loves pushing the creative boundariesAble to work autonomously
