About the business
SAE Institute, with 53 campuses in 27 countries, has been setting the global benchmark for creative media education since 1976. In Australia, we proudly offer government accredited diplomas, bachelor and masters degrees across 6 disciplines – Animation, Audio, Design, Film, Games, and Web & Mobile.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from passionate, creative educators to join our Institute in the upcoming Trimester. With newly approved Higher Education courses to deliver, it's an exciting time to become a member of Faculty at one of our Australian campuses.
Our teaching positions
Lecturers are tasked with providing a world class learning experience to students. They facilitate high quality student outcomes in line with the Institutes module learning outcomes and graduate attributes. These responsibilities correlate to three core areas;Quality of Learning & Teaching – The effective delivery of modules within SAE Programs;Pastoral Care – Engagement of students;Collegial Practice – Building capacity within the organisation via active participation with peers and colleagues.
Skills and experience
Qualifications & Experience:Demonstrable teaching experience in one or more SAE discipline area;Hold an AQF Level 8, or higher, in a related discipline;Possess significant industry experience in one or more SAE discipline areas;Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Core Competencies:Excellent scholarly expertise and/or industry expertise;Good interpersonal and written communication skills;Ability to build relationships with all levels of the campus;Student-focussed;Teamwork;Proficient in the use of industry specific software / hardware and processes;Excellent understanding of transferable skills;Cultural awareness;Commitment to continuous improvement.

You will work directly with the brand's Marketing team reporting to the Marketing Manager, to conceptualise, design and execute innovative written and visual content across our channels. The right candidate will understand the needs of our customers, our retailers and our brand. We’re looking for someone who can capture the lifestyle of our centre; communicating the brand through imagery; articulate copy & with a creative, innovative approach.
You will be a multi-skilled creative thinker with an analytical approach, and have a passion for telling stories. You will work to grow engagement across all digital platforms, and own analytics and insights across all channels. You will be flexible, take initiative, able to manage multiple projects at once, and keep pace in a fast-moving business. The right candidate will have experience with social media, blogs and eNewsletters, and a digital first approach to storytelling.
The key responsibilities of the role include:Write adaptable and digital friendly copy that reflects the brand’s tone of voiceProduce and source on-brand photography with awareness of consistent visual storytelling in the digital spaceCreate and manage our digital communications calendar across all of our digital channelsManage social media posting including capturing and sourcing images, scheduling and live event captureManage our social media communities including monitoring and engaging new audiencesManage and own insights and analytics for our digital and social platforms, being informed and reporting back to the broader teamManage relationships with external holders including but not limited to online influencers and our partner agenciesPerform website updates through our CMS environmentBe responsible for sending weekly enews, to both internal and external stakeholders, including gathering partner content and circulating internallyBe up-to-date and on the pulse with all things happening digital including social content tools, platforms, apps and influencers
The successful candidate will have:Strong copywriting skills - the ability to adapt tone and include strong calls to actionAn understanding of photography – the capacity to maintain a consistent visual styleExperience working within a website CMS environment. Sitecore experience would be considered beneficial but not mandatory.Experience in managing a company's social profiles - the ability to maintain a detailed content calendar, exhibit a strong creative/visual flair for content and stay on brandExperience using enews platforms - including the ability to analyse content and engagement to inform future sendsAbility to work in a fast paced environment - demonstrate initiative, the ability to think on your feet, communicate creatively, and deliver work while not compromising attention to detailHigh energy levels - with the appetite to work under pressure in a busy environment.Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member - proactive, anticipate needs, flexible and reliable.Photo editing and graphic design skills favoured but not mandatory - Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
