The Sydney Fringe Festival is seeking a Graphic Design Intern. You will be assisting our Head Designer and Marketing Manager to fulfil all the festivals collateral requirements across all marketing channels including both print and digital.
We are looking for applications from diligent, trustworthy and passionate students who are seeking to gain real industry experience, and broaden future employment prospects.
The Sydney Fringe are committed to providing mentoring and training to the next generation of Arts Industry professionals. This Internship will provide:
Â The ability to develop Graphic Design skills across a wide variety of media
Â Mentoring and direction from an experienced Graphic designer
Â Experience working in a Festival environment with a team of creative professionals

LOCATION: Sydney Fringe Festival Office, 5 Eliza Street, Newtown
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager and Head Designer
WORKS WITH: The Sydney Fringe Management Team
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Paid Internship
REMUNERATION: $1,400 (plus GST if applicable)
From: Week commencing Monday 14th May, 2018
To: Week ending Friday 17th August, 2018
Total Commitment: 14 days across 14 weeks
Sydney Fringe Festival period: 1-30 September
Must be available a minimum of one full day a week between Tuesday and Friday.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN KEY COMPETENCIES
Â Currently studying, or completed a degree in Design or Visual Communication
Â Demonstrated experience in visual communication and graphic design.
Â Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Cloud minimum (Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign)
Â Understanding of Premiere Pro or After Effects (desirable but not necessary)
Â Demonstrated experience in delivering to a Brief
Â Experienced Mac user
Â A strong eye for detail
Â Some understanding of marketing material and and creation.
Â Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Â A strong work ethic and efficient time management skills to cope with competing priorities within a fast-paced and busy environment.
Â Ability to show initiative, follow and complete briefs in a clear and concise manner while working independently.
Â Professional, enthusiastic and positive attitude together with the ability to be a team player, with a commitment to group success.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DELIVERABLES
Â Working closely with our Head Designer and Marketing Manager to develop design & creative solutions;
Â Assist in the delivery of all festival collateral elements in line with briefs, brand guidelines and campaign guidelines;
Â Assisting the Marketing Manager in the development and creation of social media content.
