Working within the Media department of a well-known Australian Sporting Club the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Reporting into the Digital Communications Manager, the position is tasked with producing high quality video, photographic and social media content for the official website and other digital media channels.
The successful candidate will have experience in creating social media and news content in a fast-paced digital media environment with an understanding of digital media and content management systems.
There will be a need for accomplished videography and production skills produced through the Adobe Creative Suites, filming with DSLR cameras and sound editorial judgement.
The candidate must be a self-motivated team performer who is passionate about developing and delivering interesting, informative, entertaining and attractive content to different audiences.
NB: The candidate must send through a showreel showcasing their work with their application.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with the production and publication of video content for the website and other digital media channels including script writing, graphic design, interviewing, shooting, editing, publishing and other aspects regarding video projects, using Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite.Produce graphic content, photography and imagery for the website and other digital media channels using Adobe Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite.Produce and publish written content for the website and other digital media channels, including match reports, game day updates, feature articles, interviews, news updates, statistics and other written articles.Develop content for social media channels and eDMs for Members, supporters and partners.Maintaining and updating all editable spaces on the website.Develop ideas and action projects for unique content that will be of interest to Members, supporters and partners, as well as attract new Members, supporters and partners to the Club.Assist in the delivery of contracted digital sponsorship properties across the suite of digital channels and assets.Work at Club home games and some away games throughout the season, some of which occur on weekends and public holidays.Assist in the management of Club media events and media conferences, some of which occur on weekends and public holidays.Assist at Club events throughout the year, some of which occur on weekends and public holidays.Work with all departments across the organisation to ensure positive outcomes for all stakeholders.Proof reading of own work and others' work.Reporting of key analytics for website, video and other digital channels.SKILLS & EXPERIENCEExperience in creating social media and news content in a fast-paced digital media environment and an understanding of digital media and content management systems.Accomplished digital and production skills, sound editorial judgement.Strong interest in sport news on digital, social media and broadcast platforms; an active user of social media and an understanding of audience trends.A thorough understanding of user behaviours on digital platforms and the influence they have on how news is presented and distributed.Demonstrated experience and ability in writing about sport for digital audiences, ie. Websites, social media.Examples of published work through digital channels.Strong Adobe Photoshop and photo editing skills.Strong Adobe Premiere and video editing skills.Experience using a Digital SLR camera.Intermediate still photography skills.Basic to intermediate html skills.Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.An 'ideas person' who is motivated to see a project through from start to finish.Ability to work under pressure to short deadlines and produce quality work.Experience in NRL or sports environment is desirable.NB: Please include showreel with your application
