We are looking for a Senior Video Editor with solid motion graphic skills to join us full time at our head office in Darlinghurst, Sydney. The role will see you lead our post-production requirements and deliverables as well as contribute to our creative process, pitches, and treatments. You must have a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role working primarily with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
The position is for an immediate start or as soon as possible for the right candidate. You will be working across a whole range of projects including commercials, promos, events/music festivals, branded content, short form, docos and music videos. VICE Australia is in need of a post production coordinator to work 2-5 days per week within their Melbourne office. The post production coordinator will receive, ingest, organize, and encode footage, then upload and deliver projects to clients and departments within VICE. The ideal candidate will very be organized, detail oriented and effective communicator. They will be able to complete tasks unsupervised and be excellent at troubleshooting technical errors independently.
Roles & Responsibilities
Receive, organize, encode, and ingest all footage from a variety of different formats, and upload footage to shared storage and external hard drives.
Coordinate deliveries for clients and other departments and offices within VICE: marketing, sales, etc.
Create exports to desired specs using a variety of software as needed.
Encode, QC and upload videos for multiple platforms
Troubleshoot media problems with editors, assistant editors, and other VICE staff
Keep editing projects, files and assets organized.
Archiving / Media Management
Ad-hoc tasks as required by the Post Production department
The role requires a commitment of 2 regular days per week, with flexibility to work up to 5 days per week when given notice, based on projects in post production.
During busy periods, the PPC is the manager of freelance Post Assistants, ensuring they are briefed at the beginning of the day, delegated additional tasks as necessary, and have completed all tasks by the end of day.
Experience & Qualifications
1+ years experience as a post coordinator or 1+ year’s as an assistant editor.
Comfortable handling multiple projects at a time, organized, works well with others, cool-headed, tech-savvy
Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, specifically Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop, Prelude, and Audition.
Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, PluralEyes, LTO archiving and hard drive management is desirable but not essential.
Ability to data manage original camera media, transcode to multiple video codecs, and set up, log and sync audio using Premiere Pro.
Experience mastering and QCing for various online, social and broadcast platforms is desirable but not essential.
Ability to grade and mix audio desirable but not essential.
Comfortable with making minor edit tweaks
Possesses familiarity with the VICE’s existing content and style guide across digital, social media and broadcast platforms.

This position requires a video editor with experience in a variety of editing techniques in providing leading Real Estate agencies with property and profile videos of the highest quality, as well as a range of lifestyle and social content. Experience within the Real Estate industry is by no means necessary, however strong editing skills, a keen eye for detail, creative thinking, and the ability to meet strict deadlines is a must.
Applicants must be advanced in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and based out of La Porte Space in Rosebery.
