Penguin Random House, the world's first truly global publishing company, is looking for a Publicist to join our Publicity team in Melbourne.
This is an opportunity to be part of a truly creative and collaborative environment at one of Australia's most dynamic publishers. You will have a passion for books and reading, and have a keen interest in, and superior knowledge of, Australian new and emerging media.
In this role you will develop, implement and manage PR campaigns for some of Australia's best-known authors incorporating integrated media strategies across a range of platforms.
The range of communications requirements is broad, including press releases and phone pitching, content marketing, and organising and managing author tours, events and appearances. This role calls for a clear thinker who can manage multiple projects and has exceptional communication and organisational skills.
The successful applicant will have TWO TO THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE as a publicist, preferably in the Arts and a strong understanding of print, broadcast and online media, both national and regional and \ experience in delivering high quality, targeted publicity campaigns.

About the role
As an experienced leader in Digital, you’ll share and
cultivate a passion for Customer Experience, Digital Marketing, Communications,
Content, Digital and eCommerce Technologies. You’ll be across the trends and be
ready to explore and deliver solutions that are world-leading with our many
clients. In partnership with them, you’ll act as a guide, a trusted knowledge
base and manage relationships and key interactions. Your efforts will result in
large-scale platform and managed services solutions. You’ll also be assisting
our solutions experts to shape strategies that maximise our assets,
technologies and client outcomes.
You’ll be an individual who:
Forms intelligent opinions and can

businesses digitally and enhancing cross-channel customer experiences.
Manages client account and
stakeholder relationships effectively, acting as a trusted Digital advisor and
Bachelors degree in a Digital or
8-12 years experience in Digital Consulting,
Digital Delivery and accustomed to working at an Executive/C-suite level.
Excellent written and verbal ability
and able to present and articulate complex ideas to people from non-technical
Strong client relationship skills and
business development acumen, and the ability to shape, sell and deliver solid
customer focused strategies, solutions, operating models and managed services.
Expertise in inspiring and leading
diversely disciplined teams from differing technical mind-sets.
