So I'm a busy freelancer - slowly transitioning into a mini creative team to support more work. I'm looking for a junior to assist me with this transition, someone proactive, available, organised, passionate about design and would treat this role as an opportunity to fast track their growth & career. This might look like taking notes and brushing up on what you've learnt during the week.
As we work together & your skills/experience increases, I can offer more hours, better pay and more exciting projects. It will be a mix of design, web, social, animation, admin, account/client management, arranging printing, invoicing - bits of everything. Working environment is fast pace, briefs from clients can often be unclear & last-minute - So I'll need someone clear-headed that can think-on-your-feet, take initiative to quickly resolve workflow roadblocks.
My Clients are a range of Start-ups, Product Based, Restaurants, Bars/Nightclubs, Car Dealerships, Agencies, Real Estate, Franchises and more. My operation mostly happens in the city from a co-working space & Initially, we will need to work here side by side to build a rhythm, and in time the working location will become flexible as momentum builds. I can offer 1 day per week (your pick) to begin with (potentially more depending on skills) and will increase with time. You'll need to start ASAP.
I'll also provide way better pay, support & more creative opportunity than what I've been hearing is offered to interns at agencies. I'm looking for someone based locally in Melbourne only. If you're planning on leaving melbourne in the next few months, this role won't be for you.
Here's a list of things I'll need;
- Work Examples
- Availabilities - short term & long term (holidays booked?).
- Commitments - (Studying, Working at Boost?)
- Current Experience
- Own Equipment
- Additional skills (not essential); Wordpress, animation (adobe animate web banners), After effects, PS animated GIFs
Lastly; Here's my selling point. The Aus design industry has a HUGE pool of talented designers with flashy folios but businesses often still won't work with unless they feel like they know and trust you. This is the biggest thing you'll gain from working with me is the opportunity to build a lot of industry relationships.
I look forward to hearing from everyone.
