This internship is for those looking for a trainee placement as a graphics designer and social media coordinator.
The Company hosting the internship: New To Melbourne is a fresh and young events, nightlife and tourism / travel social group for international student, backpackers / travellers and locals between 18-35. We run bar crawls, bus trips, surf camps, boat parties.
This internship will provide work experience exposure for a trainee in the tourism, travel and nightlife / events space.
The traineeship / internship will cover:
Communication skills: Working in-house with a client to develop marketing assets for a company
Social: Co-ordinating a content calendar for social media and using graphics design experience to develop assets for posting
Brand values: Translating brand values into congruent marketing assets
At the end of this internship you will have:
Developed your graphics design experience and portfolio
Begun developing a skillset that relates closely to graphic design: communication / marketing
a referee for future employers
Developed a work history that relates to your field
This is an unpaid internship and best suited to those required by their university to complete a placement or those that want real-world experience that will give them a significant edge in a competitive post-graduate employment market.
Strong written english skills
Minimum 3 months placement period
Minimum 3 days a week
About the Internship coordinator:
The co-ordinator has run two previous internship programs in events and marketing for B2B technology agencies and trained over 16 individual on marketing, operations, event management, photography, videography and customer service.
You will be working on meaningful projects that develop your understanding of business and commerce and not coffee-runs or monotonous labor. The focus of the internship is on learning outcomes for the trainee and not business outcomes.
