The Melbourne Football Club is the founding club of the AFL. Based at Australiaâs most iconic sports stadium, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, it is part of the fabric of the city of Melbourne, which has over 40,000 members and attracts over 400,000 attendees to its games each year.

The Club has strong leadership and is an emerging team in the competition, looking to build a strong, diverse and sustainable future.


The Graphic Designer reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and will assist the Senior Graphic Designer in providing design support to the business. You will need to be able to balance multiple projects at once, work well in a team environment, have a positive attitude and above all be passionate about your work.


  • Interpret design briefs from internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and execute print and digital design work for all Melbourne Football Club departments that is high quality and aligned to Melbourneâs brand guidelines
  • Maintain the integrity of the Melbourne Football Club brand and visual identity

Assist with marketing campaigns and content ideas

Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Remain informed of emerging industry trends and best practices; evaluate existing design trends and provide appropriate recommendations and solutions
  • Other duties as directed by the Digital Marketing Manager or Senior Graphic Designer


Tertiary qualifications in design, graphic arts, or equivalent

Minimum two yearsâ graphic design experience in an in-house or agency design role

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Motion graphic skills including use of After Effects would be highly regarded

A strong understanding of digital production/design/printing techniques

A strong portfolio of creative work across digital and print

Knowledge of the latest design trends, technologies and practices

Working knowledge of Bridge, Keynote, Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Office

Familiar with Content Management Systems & Email Marketing Platforms

Understanding of HTML and CSS preferred but not necessary

A self-motivated team player with a passion for all things design

A strong work ethic with a desire for genuine collaboration?

Excellent organisation and time management skills

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Flexible, adaptable and committed to meeting deadlines and providing exceptional levels of client service

High level of initiative and ambition

Ability to work autonomously and within a team
