STUDIOJACK is on the hunt for a bomb designer who can not only dominate the digital/animation space but some print design too. Sound like a pretty specialised role? Yep! And we need a damn special person to fill it.
Here's our deal. We work with an impressive list of top-tier clients predominantly in the entertainment industry. Our campaigns feature a lot of digital and animation work, but print is also an important part of what we do. That's why we're after a hybrid digital-print designer who has dabbled in print, but really knows the digital space and can help us grow that side of the company.
It's not all about us though. This role offers the right candidate an opportunity to stretch and grow creatively. We're not looking for a developer - we're looking for a creative. No day is the same, so the right side of your brain will be lit up and challenged on the reg. If you've got the mind and the eye for this kind of design, you'll thrive in this position.
Working within a small team you will get your hands on the full spectrum of marketing and advertising collateral.
Now and then you'll need to leave your Mac screen and get face-to-face with our clients. We don't have account managers, and that's what our clients love about working with us - they can go straight to the source. Confidence in managing projects and dealing with clients on a daily basis is a deal breaker, so if this isn't your thing, STUDIOJACK isn't either.
Our ideal designer will have:
- Strong creative ideas and an ability to think logically
- Experience working in advertising or marketing
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to problem solve, manage projects and meet deadlines
- An extensive portfolio, preferably showing some digital work (if applicable)
- Level-headedness to work efficiently under pressure and remain calm during the busy times
- Ability to self-motivate - to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- An interest in the arts is a bonus!
- A love of knocking off work early on a Friday to have a drink and unwind after a productive week
- Permanent residency in Australia.
Salary is negotiable on experience and how much we love you - we value everyone who works with us and expect the cash to match the talent you bring to the team. So, can you bring it?
Stop everything and get in touch!
STUDIOJACK started 8 years ago with one guy sitting at a computer churning out artwork for some of the biggest musicals in the country. That one guy turned into a full service agency and a host of international team members tackling the areas we had no clue about. The formula worked, and now STUDIOJACK works with some of Australia's top-tier arts and entertainment brands. We're known for being reliable, quick, creative, inventive, exceptionally talented and really fun to work with, oh, and modest! We're very modest.
Our clients include Sydney Opera House; Arts Centre Melbourne; Sydney Theatre Company; TEG Live; Norman, Disney & Young; Mahjong Restaurant, and Westwaters Hotel & Entertainment Complex to name a few..
We're pumped about 2018. We've moved into our swanky new space in Prahran. We've expanded our client base to include retail, property and hospitality. And we've refined our small team to people who get along and are happy working together. There's just one thing missing - you.
Now, as much as we'd love to hear from you in person, please only reach out to us via The Loop or our email address listed. We're busy, so if you do make contact by other means, we'll know you haven't read this ad properly, and you've dropped your attention to detail game. If you have questions, please send them through with your folio to the email above.
Recruiters - we love you, but please don't contact us at this early stage.
Please note: Only successful applicants will be contacted so no need to call to see if we got your application.
Let the games begin!
