Arc@UNSW is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer / Art Director with a particular passion for big ideas and inspiring others. Our creative team looks after the marketing for a diverse range of departments, programs, events and venues that make student life at UNSW so great. We also execute work for external clients as Arc Creative.
You will be the guiding light and red pen for all our Brands. You’ll work on a wide variety of exciting (and let’s be real a few not so exciting) projects and campaigns. You'll be creating dynamic content for our socials and for the real world. Your first love will be great design, closely followed by big ideas, puns and dogs (unwork related, but we just seem to have them in the office on the regular). You’ll get to teach, inspire and work as part of a small team of talented creatives.
Arc it's the kind of place where we build castles around people's desk's for birthdays, have a pretty bad netball team, eat cake and Friday happy hours start at 5pm (ok.. 4.45pm). Located on the University of New South Wales campus, Arc is one of Australia's biggest & best student organisations and is made up of a dynamic and energetic group of people focused on providing students and clients with the best experience possible. About the role
This is a newly created
role designed to support our Graphic Designer and Client Management team to
deliver end-to-end creative campaigns. This is a great opportunity for a junior
designer to expand your portfolio, with exposure to some of Australia’s biggest
brands. You’ll be expected to work both independently and collaboratively, and
will be ably supported by our small and tight-knit team. You’ll take briefs to
come up with conceptual ideas that you’ll take through to tactical execution
and finished art. You’ll work across a range of creative mediums, with a focus
on digital design including websites, banners and eDMs, plus printed collateral
You’re a junior graphic
designer with an eye for clean design and a natural creative flare. With 1-2
years’ experience, you’ve worked in an agency-like environment and are familiar
with job management processes. With exceptional attention to detail, you’re a creative
thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Our ideal candidate:
Skilled in the use of Adobe Creative Suite
(primarily Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
1-2 years experience, preferably in an agency
Solid understanding of graphic design processes
from admin and filing to briefing, creative conceptualisation and production
for print and digital
Creative thinker with high attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines
Great communication skills
Self-motivated and not afraid to ‘get your hands
