Based in Brookvale, Northern Beaches, CostumeBox.com.au is on the hunt for a Junior Graphic Designer. Tasked with creating the excitement for dressing up for an event at every customer touch-point, your work will set the tone for the party through our website's visual design, branding and communications as set out by the brand and content departments.
Reporting to the Brand Manager you will assist with developing concepts that drive engagement, sales and customer loyalty to the CostumeBox site. You will do this by using your incredibly creative mind, researching and responding to briefs that will produce fresh ideas to help elevate the CostumeBox brand to the level of a household name. Preparing and uploading banners, tiles, sliders and creating gorgeous EDM’s and landing pages is all part of a typical day at CostumeBox.
On top of the graphic design duties, you will also assist with the development of strategies to increase the fan-base on CostumeBox’s social media sites, conceptualising tactics to increase audience participation and drive traffic.
What’s In Your CostumeBox?
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar digital graphic design role.
Diploma in Graphic Design.A minimum of intermediate HTML and CSS coding knowledge and experience.
Expert in Adobe suite (CS5.5 preferable).
Knowledge and exposure to content management systems.
Professional photography skills an advantage.
Experience in Dreamweaver and Mail Chimp EDM software.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time and workload management in order to work to strict deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.
Exceptional creativity, originality and a strong visual sense.
A excellent understanding of Search Engine Optimisation techniques.
An awareness of the competitive business environment that exists within the online retail industry.
An interest in the costuming and party industries is highly regarded.
Experience in online retail environment is preferable.

be part of a small, dedicated team that’s passionate about design. You’ll get
to work on a wide variety of projects across different industries and see them
through their full life-cycle. We’ve recently won an exciting government
contract and are looking to expand.
An immediate start would
be great but we understand notice periods may need to be given. This is a part-time
role (initially 3 days per week) with the opportunity to go full-time. The
option to work remotely can be discussed.
