You will be a creative 'ideas person', who is passionate about design and keeps up with the latest trends and new innovations. You should enjoy working and collaborating within a team, while also possessing the ability to manage your own projects autonomously. You will have an excellent ability to communicate your ideas both verbally and visually. You will be required to design and develop Christmas creative concepts, create quality artwork presentations then follow the design process through to the manufacturing, production, and physical execution stages. You will need to understand the balance of creating exciting, innovative, and beautiful design with commercial reality and functionality. You possess well developed planning and problem-solving skills, matched by an excellent knowledge of design software. You will be extremely organised and can produce high quality work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced and fun workplace. You should understand the commercial and technical aspects of spatial design, with thorough knowledge of design production processes. You should have experience in the VM & display / events / exhibition / theatre or other related visual industry and related qualifications.

Our ideal applicant must have at least 5 years children's book design experience and be particularly comfortable working with picture books, illustrated junior fiction and non-fiction titles.

No teaching experience required - you will be working with an experienced teaching team, and be trained in how to teach. The role also comes with 8 weeks annual leave.
