Lumapixel - Creative Production Studio seeks a senior videographer/editor to head up our motivated and growing video production team
Our videographers (camera person/directors) are storytellers at heart and whether they are working on a TV commercial or corporate production, they excel at conveying ideas to an audience. This role will require an attention to detail and focus on the successful delivery of client video projects to a brief with the support our Managing Director/ Producer and Post-Production supervsior.
We are a growing company with crews across Australia and New Zealand. We do mainly corporate, agency and TV based content and this is expanding. Recent clients include the likes of: BMW, Steadfast Life, Pure Papaya, Estee Lauder and Aristocrat amongst many others. We have produced over 8500 videos for over 200 clients and counting.
Our video production company is seeking a dynamic, friendly and organised videographer/editor for a full time role. You will operate as part of a team and be project and client focused. We want someone who is willing to learn and extend themselves creatively but also that brings their own ideas, visual style and skills to the company. Responsibilities include camera work, editing, some motion graphics, concept execution, feedback implementation and client liaison.

About youYou are a great communicator with an articulate grasp of english and how to speak to people from all walks of life to build rapport and fast relationships on location and during project managementYou’re a well presented, professional and brilliant image maker, communicator and fast learnerIdeally have 2+ years in a camera role using professional video cameras and/or DSLRs, but a person with the right attitude and commitment will be always be welcome to applyYou'll be able to work and direct untrained talent to get the best performance from them possibleYou need to be an excellent and efficient non-linear editor and storyteller. We are an Adobe house for the majority of our work so you need to be very comfortable with Adobe Premiere including: colour correction, using LUTs, editing shortcuts, sound and music mixing on the timeline and understand how to follow a workflow and keep a neat project structureExperience and good familiarity with Adobe After Effects is a distinct advantage. In AE you will at a minimum need to know how to: create shapes, colour grade, create and manipulate masks, keyframe and animate basic parameters, work with templates, be creative with text and understand and use alpha channels without prompting. ResponsibilitiesLead the production team to execute on a consistently high levelManage, execute and film video content on location alone or as part of a teamInterpret a creative brief and understand what is required to complete the project deliverableSpeak with clients around their briefs, feedback and day-to-day throughout the life of your projectsHelp collect and organise client assets such as: client brand guidelines, stills and mixed media etcCommunicate production needs, equipment requirements and work within the confines of time and budgetReport to your Managing Director and Post-Production supervisor on project needs and issuesKeep project data up to date in the Lumapixel workflow system for projects on which you're involvedManage your project deliverables and complete them on time and to a scheduleHelp maintain equipment logs and gear so that things operage at their optimum

Requirements:2+ years minimum of videography experience (Video cameras, composition, framing, techncal prowess, DSLRs etc)2+ years in Adobe Premiere editing experienceExperience with After Effects on real project with demonstrable outcomes. See description earlierDegree or qualification in media or a field with transferable skills such as marketing (useful but not mandatory)Strong people skills, organisational and communication skillsDemonstrated production competencies: client and project focus, accountability for results, team effectiveness, attention to detail, flexibility, professional confidence and an ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and result expectation
Pay range: $50,000 - $60,000 package. Based on candidate and negotiable.
