Who Are You?
This role oversees content development & maintenance projects, ensuring consistency with the Pet Circle brand. A key focus will be to make sure that Pet Circle content is up-to-date & ahead of competitors across all mediums including online, print & media relations.
Writing and curating content that is search engine optimised (SEO), in HTML format and using keyword research to achieve the most effective content for customer acquisition.
Establishing & maintaining pipelines to ensure all necessary product range content is displayed in an accurate & timely manner, onsite and in print catalogue.
Sourcing, updating, uploading & ongoing revision of product descriptions, images & videos.
Understanding & implementing strategic directives as given to you by the Product Manager.
Using web traffic analysis to help determine content priorities, whilst measuring and commenting on the performance of past work.
Work with Marketing, Merchandising, and Technology teams to curate custom pages for new ranges and onsite promotion, whilst enhancing content engagement on existing pages through the use of charts, infographics and best design practices.
Work with Marketing Director to develop the Pet Circle brand. This includes developing public relations for content production on 3rd party websites such as media outlets and bloggers.
Work with Product Manager to improve and maintain relevance of all general information pages such as FAQs, Shipping and ‘About Us’ pages.
Work with Product Manager to implement content based projects, such as user generated content (UGC) onsite display, or new information-focused websites.
Degree in Product Management, Journalism, Marketing, or similar.
Content writing / editorial experience – overseeing or coordinating written content like articles, digital publishing, or similar.
Digital content management experience.
One sunny afternoon, not long ago, if you had poked your head past the roller door at the Wine Gallery HQ, you would have found us all sitting around our internal wine bar (read communal desks) celebrating!
It had a been a great month. We had launched the new platform in late 2016. Our organic customer traction had started to pick up nicely. And on top of that, we had managed to score the award for best new Australian E-Commerce Startup. So moral was high. But at the same time, we knew that this was just a good start. And our minds quickly shifted to the list of ideas we wanted to do next.
And that's about the time we realised that our grand ambitions were being stifled by a few key skill gaps. You see, Banjo (Chief Wine Officer) had the wine skills down pat. Humberto (Chief of Technical Stuff) had the coding skills. Tom (Chief of Everything Else) had some finance skills. And Manning ...Well, let's just say Manning can pack a mean box of wine.
What our motley wine crew was missing was the creator/editor/producer type. We needed someone that could take our written, imagery and video content to the next level and support the rapid growth of the rest of the business. Which is where you come in...
We need someone that has an abundance of creativity and vision, but also the 'know how' to design and build out our overall content strategy. Equally, this person won't be afraid to get their hands dirty and whip up lifestyle blog posts, design our latest EDM, interview our wine makers, or shoot photos for our social posts. Someone that's handy with a DSLR, but also comfortable producing quality video assets on a budget.
Day-to-day they'll have a regular set of production responsibilities including written and visual wine and food related content. But they'll also be working on more ambitious brand and PR campaign assets. Lastly, we need you to be the type always to be pushing and challenging the rest of the team and the status quo with your ideas.

You'll be the fifth full-time amigo in our wine team and can expect to play a massive role in growing what we're building. We've got grand ambitions for where we want to take this baby, and you're going to play a huge part in getting us there. You'll be the head of your own little content empire with a lot of autonomy, so self-drive is a must. But you can also expect a lot of support from the rest of the team.
You can expect to work hard, but productively, with a focus on results, not face time. You'll be moving quickly and facing new challenges every day. We're constantly testing and experimenting, so mistakes are going to happen. But we're cool with that because we're constantly learning and improving as we go.
The role suits a clever cookie willing to delay the big dollars in the short term, for the chance to get in on the ground level and have a huge say over the direction and success of our ambitious little wine co. $60k salary + bonus + free wine subscription + employee share options for the right candidate.

Under the direction of
the Multi Media Producer:
PRE SHOOT (TVC)
- Review all storyboards before final sign off
to minimise any potential issues for post editing (reviewed with Brand Manager,
Art Director and Multi Media Producer).
- In conjunction with the Multi Media Producer,
manage the timeline to deliver the TVC and manage workflow around the schedule.
- Work with internal creative team to schedule
any creative work (i.e Island Shots) so they are delivered on time.
- Work with Multi Media Producer and external
Production Company to transition the job in-house for editing.
- Liaise with internal and external partners on
spot approvals and mastering of commercials based on all market final spec
- Liaise with Brand Management team so they can
schedule internal meetings for final sign off and keep all territories informed
of when masters will be ready to download.
SIZZLES / DIGITAL ASSETS
- In addition to TVC there will be the
requirement to work with the internal creative team to edit marketing tools
such as sizzles and digital assets.
TIME & BUDGET
- Keep to the schedule defined and proactively
communicate if there are delays
- Ensure budget set for the commercial is
maintained and no overage without pre approval or spend being revised.
- Be prepared to mentor and guide the Brand
Management team around what is / isn’t possible when editing a shot.
- Provide creative input where required based
- Work with wider creative team to ensure
assets are created in a timely manner for final post editing tasks.
