You will be a creative 'ideas person', who is passionate about design and keeps up with the latest trends and new innovations. You will have an excellent ability to communicate your ideas both verbally and visually. You will be required to design and develop Christmas creative concepts, create quality artwork presentations then follow the design process through to the manufacturing, production, and physical execution stages. You will need to understand the balance of creating exciting, innovative, and beautiful design with commercial reality and functionality. You possess well developed planning and problem-solving skills, matched by an excellent knowledge of design software. You will be extremely organised and can produce high quality work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced and fun workplace. You should understand the commercial and technical aspects of spatial design, with thorough knowledge of design production processes. You should have experience in the VM & display / events / exhibition / theatre or other related visual industry and related qualifications.

Reporting to the Publicity Manager, you will love books and be passionate about communications.
You will have one to two years' experience in a Publicity environment, and experience in publishing or bookselling will be highly considered.
Working five days a week, your key responsibilities include:Taking on soft publicity campaigns to raise awareness of our titlesProviding support to the Publicity Manager for large campaigns Writing the monthly press releases and monthly newsletterHandling giveaways and promotions with our key mediaMaintaining all media databases on a regular basis, keeping abreast of media changes and movementsWorking with our designer to create the monthly highlights documentAnswering reactive media requestsAssisting with events and author toursManaging the monthly media mail-outAssisting with internal communications within the global Walker Group Monitoring media and logging media coverage and reviewsProviding information to sales and other departments when requiredManaging department travel and itinerariesAdditional administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department
