We’re looking for someone who knows digital. You probably won’t know how to code because although you’re interested in all things digital, you will know your limitations. You’re all over the concepts and can talk to clients about them in plain English.
This means someone who knows the difference between CMS and CSS. Can talk about API’s and when they’d be used. Has a good understanding of SEO, Google Analytics and Email Marketing. You’ll know what a sub domain is and that an IP address has nothing to do with intellectual property. You’ll be responsive and expect your websites to be the same.
You’re a switched on super-fast learner who’s organised, creative yet still practical. You’re unique and choose not to fall into the trap of using buzz phrases like “reach out”, “deep dive” or “circle back”. You have a genuine sense of urgency and while you have a passion for cutting red tape, you’re no cowboy.
