My competition entry for 2015 Young Jewellery Designers "On Show" Exhibition hosted by JAA.
Continuing with my exploration of creating a show-stopping ear cuff from my previous Atelier collection that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing I designed the Woodland Ear Cuff. While aesthetically it is inspired by the form of the Sakura cherry blossom tree (a reoccurring theme in my work) and the crown of Thranduil, the fictional Elven King of the Woodland ream from The Hobbit, this ear cuff as also an experiment in challenging balance and the preconceived notions of weight that would be comfortable for the particular style of wearable.
