Lights On | Lights Off is a pop up gallery showcasing eights of Melbourne’s best and emerging artists coming to life in eight retail spaces at Water Tank Way, part of Far East Consortium’s latest development Upper West Side, Melbourne’s former Power Station.
The pop up activation delivers an energetic experiential gallery of sculpture, painting, illustration, visual communication, photography and music to the CBD commuter, resident and visitor as they pass through the new walkway, Water Tank Way, that connects Spencer and Lonsdale Streets.
Artists include Keith W Clancy, Julie Collins and Derek John, Danielle Harmshaw, Caroline Meathrel-Mack, Shoso Shimbo, Maria Simonelli, Beck Storer, Hayley June Walker.
The team behind Lights On | Lights Off is committed to amplifying spaces and activations that are meaningful to the community. Upper West Side is a project developed by Far East Consortium, who has worked closely with Pop Union, undercoat and Latitude to bring the artist in residence campaign in Water Tank Way
The three-week program kicked off on Friday 11 July and will culminated on Thursday 31 July
