To create a multi-component strategic campaign to reintroduce and educate the public to the dewey decimal system so users can navigate the library and find books on their own, freeing up library staff and helping the public domain run smoothly.
The campaign includes a colour coded system to differentiate divisions of the system and is implemented across posters, bookshelves, maps and this catalogue smart phone app.
The app can be used as a regular library catalogue or if the user has searched a library computer to find a book they can scan the QR code from the computer and the app will guide them too the correct shelf. This app frees up library staff to ensure the library runs smoothly instead of constantly taking users to the correct shelf.
Skills acquired from this project include strategy design, branding, interactive design, market research, Illustrator and mapping.
