Airport Link Company’s (ALC) marketing philosophy is to adopt a clear and concise approach. ALC continues to adopt a marketing campaign, which clearly portrays the destination of the Sydney Airport Rail Link.
This campaign used a creative, which informed the passenger where the Airport train could take you. The campaign used a creative which provided a clear and concise understanding of travel to or from Sydney Airport – into the Central Business District.
This approach, in addition to the strategic positioning of this creative around Sydney, Melbourne and other Airports, provided 42% growth in passengers during a three year period. And the growth is continuing. The campaign provided a return on investment in the order of 800%, and has positioned the Sydney Airport Rail Link with a 16% mode share of all passenger traffic travelling to or from Sydney Airport.
