UNIDENTIFIED LINES 2013 speaks of an ancient mystery. It is an exploration of the contrasting perceptions that surround the existence of the Ancient Nazca Geoglyphs in Peru.
The collection possesses an elegant yet raw aesthetic through the incorporation of hand-knotted Macramé and sublimation printing. The Macrame technique is knotted to shape the form of the body and to create directional lines. The prints are designed from a digital image of the site and they reference modernity and technological progression.
Through these techniques, themes of ancient mythology vs. the modern age are brought to light and used to create a juxtaposed aesthetic.
