Art & Soul is the 8th installment of the Art Dinner Series which is an annual fundraising dinner held at The Art Gallery of New South Wales. Each year, an Australian chef joins forces with a keynote speaker to raise funds for The Benevolent Society's priority programs.
This year, the chef was Jared Ingersoll (Cotton Duck, Dank St Depot) and Keynote Speaker, Simon Marnie (ABC 702).
The black tie event is by invitation only, and one of the hallmarks of this annual dinner is the intimate, exclusive feel with the 220 guests primarily drawn from influential circles of Sydney society and corporate boards.
The night features pre-dinner drinks amongst the Archibald exhibition followed by a dinner in the Grand Court provided by well-known chefs.
It is a hugely successful evening and raised $155,000 net in 2011 which is a 30% increase from 2010.
