The REUSE Project for the client: Reverse Garbage. Created at TRACTOR Digital Design in 2013.
IDEA: The RG Creative team will build a sculpture and 'turn garbage into art.' You can be a part of this project by voting for the item(s) you’d like RG Creative to use in the sculpture, which will then be displayed in a popular Sydney landmark.
For this project I have designed a website supported by a Facebook AD Banner and a Facebook Group that you can join to receive tips, advice and also share your own experiences.
The REUSE Project's aim is to inspire creative REUSE of materials, and reduce landfill. Here the audience will be exposed to innovative creations and be inspired to create their own - attracting more customers to Reverse Garbage.
There are many ways for the user to interact with The REUSE Project:
GALLERY: The user can look through a collection of pre-loved objects and materials, click on each object to learn about their history, then vote for a favourite to be used in the sculpture.
INSPIRATION Board: Displays amazing REUSE creations to inspire and educate the user, with an option to upload their own creation.
Both galleries have Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest actions to share votes, likes, new creations, tips and advice.
An IINCENTIVE: the first 100 people to 'Like' The REUSE Project on Facebook, get their names added to the sculpture's plaque - which will also display Reverse Garbage's mission to reduce landfill - introducing newcomers to REUSE.
By promoting interaction in a community of like-minded people, and the reward in being a part of art history - I see the appeal this could have to Reverse Garbage's existing followers.
