MasterChef is the world's most popular cooking show.
Since its launch on Ten in 2009, MasterChef Australia has made Australian television history and changed the way we think about food.
Over the years, MasterChef Australia has attracted the world's most acclaimed chefs to help inspire and mentor the contestants. Alongside our iconic judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris and Matt Preston, MasterChef Australia has always had a stellar line up of mentors and guests from Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein and Heston Blumenthal to David Chang and Nigella Lawson…to name a few.
More than two million viewers tuned in last year to see Andy Allen crowned the winner of Series 4. Inspired by their time on MasterChef, many of our contestants' dreams have come true – with their own restaurants, foodranges and cooking shows. MasterChef Australia is broadcast in more than 30 countries around the world.
This year we spread our culinary wings and moved the MasterChef Kitchen to Melbourne – one of the greatest food destinations in the world. We also introduced Australia to the exceptional and globally renowned Marco Pierre White - as part of our first series of the breathtaking MasterChef: The Professionals.
MasterChef is unique because it is the audience's show. At the heart of it, is food. Over the years Australians have grown to know and love our contestants through the food they have cooked and the stories their dishes have told….Real people, real food and real dreams
