I am a graphic designer and photographer, who has always had an interest in everything creative. I studied at the University of Newcastle and completed a bachelor of Visual Communication Design in 2015 and an additional year of study in 2016 to gain a bachelor of Visual Communication Design (Honours).
I have also worked on numerous freelance projects and worked for several companies as a Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant. This experience, whether it be working alongside a client or as an in house graphic designer for a company, has vastly expanded my professional skills.
Alongside study, I have consistently been volunteering and working in the industry to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible. As of April 2013 I contributed as a designer for the University of Newcastle’s student media, “Yak”. This previous contribution led me to hold a permanent volunteer position as the Lead Graphic Designer of Yak from November 2014, until November 2016. Working with an Editorial and Design team was a great experience in expanding my skills, not only as a designer but as a team leader. This role also furthered my organisation, communication and professional skills.
