I have over a decade of experience in communications management and science communications.
I have been incredibly fortunate to have a complete spectrum of experiences ranging from pure copywriting to large scale project management on website development, SEO and social media.
I have had experience with a number of website content management systems (Joomla, Business Catalyst and Kentico being the better known).
I am also experienced in EDM best practice, in particular in the not for profit sector.

Responsibilities:
o Develop the CCIA brand strategy and ensure brand compliance across CCIA
o Project manage the Annual Review, newsletter and annual fundraising DVD and other publications as required
o Write and edit publications such as the Annual Review, newsletters and scripts for the annual fundraising DVD
o Manage the redevelopment of the CCIA website and maintain up to date information
o Seek proactive media opportunities and first point of contact for media inquiries
o Disseminate research information across CCIA
o Manage the CCIA laboratory tour program
o Maintain intranet and roll down of communication from Executive Management across CCIA
o Manage proposals for Trusts & Foundations

Key achievements:
o In 2007 I secured funding worth over $2,000,000 from Trusts and Foundations
o I successfully gained the support of a website development company to build, host and maintain the CCIA website pro bono. They have since built two additional websites for CCIA fundraising activities
o I was instrumental in developing CCIA’s first Corporate Identity Strategy, including the successful roll-out throughout the Institute
o I developed and implemented a successful laboratory tour program
Responsibilities:
o Coordinate School Holiday Programs including advertising and media coverage
o Deliver and develop science education programs
o Manage staffing of school holiday programs
o Train staff in school and holiday programs
o Develop school holiday programs
o Perform science shows at large public events such as The Sydney Royal Easter Show
Key achievements:
o I developed, coordinated and delivered a series of teacher professional development workshops on biotechnology that successfully toured regional and metropolitan NSW
o I developed a number of highly successful science programs, including a Natural Disasters program
o I established sponsorship and partnerships for school holiday programs
o I was a presenter on ‘Scope’, a CSIRO science show on Channel 10
Full scholarship to complete Graduate Diploma Scientific Communication at Australian National University in 2004.
