Welcome to my online portfolio!
Linda Batras is a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design) at RMIT University, Melbourne. She has taken on a broad range of projects, from freelance graphic design to toy design and even architectural work.
Her passion is design and her objective is to become a product designer, focusing on the field of furniture. She is inspired by the likes of Ross Lovegrove, Karim Rashid, Mark Newson, Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry.
She spent some time working in the research and design team at Schiavello in Tullamarine, Melbourne, which strengthened her desire to work as a furniture designer. As well as this work experience, Linda has worked in many studios, the most recent of which was a collaboration with GM Holden, designing car interiors and was short listed and chosen to present her concept to head designers at GM’s head office.
She graduated at the end of 2009, after completing a year long project which used experimentation as a design method and focused on the connection between nature and furniture design.
She has been a part of four end of year design exhibitions where she showcased a range of work from different design studios. Now, a recent graduate, she is eager to keep designing as her passion for design is still thriving.
