First and foremost, you yourself will have experienced the unique reader connection of our titles because it will make it easy and totally enjoyable for you to then sell the benefits of advertising to relevant brands.
The role is working across both Smith Journal and frankie magazine – print and online, mostly selling advertising space including creative solutions for clients but also prospecting leads and media monitoring. You will have your own budgets and client base and will work closely with our National Advertising Manager while also having direct lines of communication with editorial and publishing team. This role requires interstate travel.
The person we’re looking for will be above average in ability, confident, smart, strategic thinking and have exceptional presentation & people skills. You’ll want to immerse yourself into our world and become obsessive about advertising, media (print & online) and our client base (current and potential).
Ideally, we are looking for someone with a proven track record in sales. Of course media sales would make you stand out extra special – but retail or other experience combined with a resilient attitude, confidence and infectious people skills would put you in good stead too!
