Outliving is all about homewares, giftwares and having fun! Established in 2003, we source the best product lines from around the globe, design our own amazing Sunnylife range and have our own Mr and Mrs Jones stores.
Our business is growing fast (10x in last few years) and so we need an additional dynamic new member to join our energetic team of funsters in our great work environment.
What you will be doing!
Reporting to the Head of Design and working alongside the other internal design team members, you will be responsible for developing original design concepts, executing designs based on established style guides, developing detailed design specs for production, and helping other mid-level, junior and intern designers on an ongoing basis. You may occasionally be asked to participate in visual design presentations to internal departments and external stakeholders. A strong work ethic and great attitude is integral. Your responsibilities will include:Creating visual designs that effectively communicate brand identityPackaging designCatalogue design and layoutLogo and icon creationPhoto editing retouching, colour correcting and optimisations of imagesBrand developmentDigital and Web DesignMarketing assets from e-newsletters, web pages, promotional spots, affiliate collateral and social media.Staying ahead of trends and new ideas and interpret those into fantastic creativeDeveloping technical skills to stay abreast of software changesHandling multiple briefs at onceEnsuring all creative adheres to style guidelines and articulates brand objectives
Who is the ideal candidate?Advanced Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or Industrial DesignAn intimate knowledge of Photoshop and IllustratorMinimum 4 years working in a design teamExperience with print managementKnowledge of colour management in varied applicationsExperience with packaging, logo and catalogue designBasic photography skillsAbility to work quickly from concept creation to finished productAble to understands the brand and vision of the businessAble to organise own time and work to deadlinesCommunicates clearly and regularlyCommercial acumen & high levels of accuracyCan work independently and prioritise accordinglyExpert design skills and proven experience using Adobe Creative suiteKnowledge of the HTML process, structural site limitations, web developmentA flexible attitude to adapt to a growing team as well as demanding business needsPro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the quality of the site
Campus Living Villages (CLV) is the leading provider of on-campus student accommodation in Australia. With over 45,000 beds owned, managed or under development across Australia, the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand, CLV has an extensive track record for creating quality, purpose-built facilities and managing exciting student communities around the globe.
A new and exciting opportunity exists within our Sydney Corporate Office, for the role of a Global Web Developer to join the team on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, the Global Web Developer will be responsible for designing and developing web applications to ensure that CLV's digital platforms deliver an optimal user experience in order to increase conversion rates and therefore occupancy at CLV Villages. The role will also be responsible for domain administration, ensuring all CLV registered domains are correctly configured and redirections are implemented as required.
Key areas of the role include:Front and back-end development and optimisation of CLV's consumer and business facing websitesGraphic design of website elements for use in website development and enhancement projects.Implement measures and monitor website security and user access to ensure CLV digital assets remain secure.Maintain CLV's global suite of registered domains and coordinate renewal when required.Support and comply with prevailing legislation, including health & safety, data protection, human resources and privacy.
