Viacom Australia has an amazing opportunity for a Research Assistant to join our team. Through television, film and a range of digital media, Viacom delivers world-renowned, best-in-class brands, and continue to evolve and revitalize their brands. This newly created Research Assistant role will be working across the MTV and Nickelodeon brands for Australia and New Zealand. As this role works across both brands the successful candidate may split their time between our MTV office in Darlinghurst and the Nickelodeon office in North Ryde.
Reporting directly into the Research Director you will be responsible for interpreting research data into meaningful insights and actionable strategies to support the programming, digital, marketing, adsales and executive teams.
In this position you will perform the following responsibilities:
•Compiling, analysing and interpreting data to identify facts that serve as critical inputs to the programming, digital, marketing, adsales and executive teams;
•Compiling, analysing and interpreting data in response to ad-hoc queries;
•Interpreting research data to develop regular communication headlines;
•Developing and maintaining an information library of category specific insights that contribute to building a successful and informed team; and
•Leveraging subject matter expertise to guide teams and provide insights on a variety of topics.
To be successful in this position you will need the following attributes:
•Knowledge of the Australian broadcast media landscape;
•At least 1 year experience in a similar position (although Graduates may be considered);
•Preferably degree qualified (Business/Marketing/Research/Media & Communication Studies/Statistics/Psychology);
•Intermediate - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; and
•Experience in the use of analytical tools such as SPSS, Landsberry, James eTAM, Roy Morgan Single Source, AGBNMR Panorama is desirable but not essential.
