POSITION OVERVIEW This 7 month part-time position is responsible for the creation and achievement of engaging and high impact press coverage and content across both paid and earned media for a blue-chip FMCG client. Further it involves a partnership with UNICEF, a high profile media partnership, a media event and content creation across social media channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and manage relationships with UNICEF and relevant external media partners so as to achieve press coverage and community engagement. Develop and distribute multimedia press materials. Research, compile and manage ongoing list of relevant media, bloggers and influencers. Lead the development of the brand content calendar and assume responsibility for content creation and execution throughout the relevant channels to achieve campaign goals. Be the first point of contact for any media enquiries and develop necessary responses and materials
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Qualifications in either Public Relations, Communications or Marketing. Minimum 5 years experience in consumer public relations. Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills. Highly creative thinker who can demonstrate successful creation of brand content that has achieved a business outcome. Strong planning and project management skills so that can take a project from concept to completion. Strong ability in defining, setting and achieving objectives. Demonstrate networking ability so as to be able to engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders and decision makers. Experience in negotiating with individuals and organizations in order to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome.
