of the role
The Junior Promo Producer will be responsible for the creation and development of
on-air promotions, cross promotions and conference presentations. As well as
assisting with development of the on-air branding strategy, for BBC Worldwide
Channels in Australia & New Zealand. They will report into the Head of
Creative and Senior Promo Producer as well as actively help support the wider
Creative Services team, when and where necessary. All content created will be in accordance with creative standards and
required ‘look and feel’ of specific channels. The role requires the ability to pitch ideas using visual layouts,
create scripts, direct voice over sessions etc. The role also requires working
closely with the Marketing & Programming departments for specific
campaigns. All campaigns must retain high creative and production standards
while respecting brand values and delivering on time and budget.
- The Junior Promo Producer will report directly to the Senior Promo
Producer as well as the Head of Creative within the creative services
- Adhere to brand identity.
- Brand custodian for the assigned channel they are working on, ensuring
all branded promotions and executions are on brand.
- Attend all internal
creative services meetings when necessary.
- Develop unique branded promotions, from idea
conception, scriptwriting, supporting graphic design to editing and scheduling
- Keep apace with general
trends and developments in the wider industry and sharing it with the wider
- Be aware of local market TV
regulations and restrictions.
- Awareness of Commercial
Music and licensing.
- Working closely with the
programming and marketing teams, to share creative input and ideas.
- With Head of Creative, have
ability to pitch work and then get it signed off by key internal stakeholders
- Be able to discuss and
listen to feedback and act on it constructively.
- To have the ability to offer
up a range of creative routes where appropriate, as part of the creative
- Edit promotional material, both technically in the
Adobe Premiere suite and creatively, by re-working scripts, storyboards and
- Localise promotional
material, EPK footage etc, from the Central Office.
- An understanding
of 360 campaigns desired.
- To be an
energetic / enthusiastic member sharing ideas and best practice.
- An understanding
of Post Production, the facilities on offer and the difference each piece of
hardware can do to help enhance the creative process is also desired.
