After the much celebrated re-opening of the iconic Hamer Hall, we are now embarking on an exciting new program of Digital Arts, including screen-based, installation, online, mobile and live event projects!
About the position
As we continue to explore innovative ways to integrate digital arts, moving image and interactive media with the traditional performing arts we are renowned for presenting, we need a Multi-platform Producer with experience managing the development and production of moving image projects and knowledge of how audiences engage with cultural content through a variety of media platforms. This position is integral to the delivery of an exciting and diverse Digital Arts program in our iconic performing arts venues, galleries and public spaces as well as through a range of digital distribution platforms, including web, mobile and social media!
Reporting to the Program Manager – Digital Art and collaborating with a range of stakeholders, you will develop, produce and deliver a range of complex and unique Digital Arts projects, with an emphasis on moving image and multi-platform initiatives. You will also coordinate with artists, internal departments and other key stakeholders to contribute to the creative development of interactive media projects presented on screen and in installation or live event contexts.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in Film, Broadcast Media, Communication Studies, Digital Arts or related discipline;
* Experience managing or coordinating multi-platform digital projects from conception to completion;
* Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders;
* Experience working with artists, film-makers or other creative practitioners
* Understanding of media production processes and related technical requirements
* Experience in assessing feasibility, scheduling projects and managing budges
Use your exceptional communication and organisational skills, ability to support cross disciplinary projects and flare for story telling across multiple platforms to contribute to this revolutionary time at Arts Centre Melbourne!
Your ability to inspire innovation and contribute creative ideas will certainly see you succeed in this exciting role. An understanding of the copyright and licensing issues involved in the distribution of digital content would also be considered highly advantageous.
