Design Director – The Marketing Shop – Brand Activation and Shopper

Part of the Clemenger Group at 474 St Kilda Rd, The Marketing Shop work
with some of Australia’s biggest and most loved brands. This is an award
winning agency, with long standing Client relationships and heaps of energy.
We are looking for a truly talented Design Director at senior level who
brings leadership, an aesthetic of the highest standard, people management
skills and enthusiasm with them.
You will be able to demonstrate and share:
Examples of awesome,
effective, TTL creative campaigns which you have developed
understanding of brand marketing within FMCG
Leadership and people
Great communication and
negotiation skills with Account Service teams
Examples of projects lead
from brief through to Client presentation
The ability to take
responsibility and work autonomously
The ability to take
feedback and recover quickly from set backs
Working in fast paced, high
Managing a diverse resource
base including establishing a panel of reliable freelance designers
You will work across all brands within the agency, take responsibility
for all visual creative output of the whole agency and have a small design and
studio team to support you.
$90K - $110K incl Super (dependent on experience)

both locally and abroad.
To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate the willingness and propensity to work alone (self motivated) and to be part of a team to be able to accept and act on feedback and to continually be a fountain of new ideas to engage our audience. You must be someone who can work at pace to develop creative and innovative social media solutions for specific marketing challenges
Key areas of focus:
Strategy: Working with our buying department, marketing, online and PR teams, you will generate content and copy across each social media channel based on the brief. Using your knowledge of the digital and fashion world and how you tell a story that engages our core demographic. You will be responsible for generating hard data, results and insights and translating these findings into actionable recommendations for the business.
Content development and publishing: Working as a copy writer and story teller to meet business objectives and being able to inject tone of voice into content will be pivotal. You will also assist with creation and implementation of the social elements of wider digital/integrated marketing campaigns ie Xmas, Denim campaigns, etc. You don't wait to be briefed you leap what we could be doing next in your down time and present ideas whenever you can get the forum.
