This is for a 6 month contract working on some
of the agencies lead accounts. If the fit is right we would hope this turns

Working as the key link between Concrete Playground’s editorial and business teams, you'll be part of the small but talented crew that drives the Concrete Playground brand and business in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington. With over a million visits a month and a recent Webby nomination for Best Cultural Website, Concrete Playground is one of the fastest-growing independent publishers in Australia. We're looking for an ambitious person who can work collaboratively to implement native editorial partnerships with some of Australia's and the world's top brands, institutions and events.
Our mission is to be the most trusted and authoritative guide to cities across Australia and New Zealand, creating engaging cultural and entertainment content for the Connected Generation's early adopters and influencers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Writing, commissioning and editing sponsored campaign content across Australia and New Zealand, according to briefs from the business team and in line with Concrete Playground’s editorial values and standards.
Providing editorial support to the Managing Editor on native content including sponsored feature articles, event posts and other types of content.
Working with the Business Managers, ensuring effective campaign delivery to brief requirements.
Managing client feedback and editing according to both sponsor brand requirements and Concrete Playground’s style guide and values.
University degree or similar qualification
1-3 years experience working in digital media, preferably in an editorial, communications, marketing or content production role.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Natural ability to work collaboratively.
Excellent attention to detail.
Superb client, project and personal management skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, InDesign and Photoshop.
Excellent subediting skills and ability to work with a style guide.
Experience with social media management and strategy.
Knowledge of SEO and basic HTML.
Experience working with a content management system (preferably Wordpress).
General knowledge of pop culture, across the areas of music, technology, design, sustainability, current affairs, fashion, lifestyle, travel, food & drink, film, the arts and local cultural life.
Event management or video editing skills a bonus but not essential.
