Overall Objective of role:
The key purpose of the role is to manage the communication to Foxtel subscribers through the existing metro and regional Foxtel magazines. The role will require someone who is able to manage day to day delivery of content as well as drive content through a variety of new mediums including a magazine app and digital publication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the delivery of 2 magazines to subscriber base (metro/regional)
• Ensure high editorial standards of all articles
• Understand our subscriber base and deliver content relevant to our audience in both regional and metro markets
• Work with marketing to drive increased penetration of the magazine with customers
• Work with the publishers to drive our brand identity through the magazine
• Ensure delivery of magazine is to budget and track overall budget
• Project manage the launch of a magazine app
• Relaunch a new combined magazine as soon as practicable
• Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of the magazine
• Ensure effective management of outsource contracts for the magazine
• Foster an experience for the reader which is at all times informative, on brand and engaging.
Key Technical Skills & Experience:
• Tertiary level qualification essential
• Ability to work tight deadlines, manage editorial budgets
• Experience in overseeing editorial content (via publications, direct mail, advertising)
• Passion for communication both print and digital
• Adept at managing budgets and monitoring forecasts
• Passion for Television and knowledge of the key drivers of online and TV advertising
• Self starter who is highly motivated and enjoys setting challenging goals
• Strong project management skills
• Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
