Applications are open until Sunday 3 June, 2012 for an exciting new competition aimed at discovering Australia’s most promising new label. With a panel of judges from the most influential sectors of fashion, a prize worth more than $20,000 and an event showcasing your designs to the ‘who’s who’ of Australia’s fashion influencers and media, it’s the perfect stepping stone to launch your fashion career.

Launch Your Label is a new initiative created by Oneweardesigns.com aimed at discovering and investing into the future of an outstanding new fashion label. Launch Your Label has the support of an impressive panel of judges and mentors, coming together to support the future of fashion in Australia.

The Launch Your Label competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 and will be judged on technical skill, design, creativity, business acumen and commitment – the designer that the panel of judges deems to have the most potential to succeed will win. Applications are welcomed from all fashion categories – womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, shoes, bags, millinery and jewellery.

The winner will receive a prize package in excess of $20,000 including a full page in Shop Til You Drop magazine promoting their brand, a leading designer mentorship, a boutique on the Oneweardesigns.com website, a 3 month start up marketing package and a cash prize.

The winner will be announced at a VIP event on the 29th of August, 2012 in front of Sydney’s fashion and media elite, the perfect platform to launch your label.
