We are looking for a super keen and enthusiastic intern to help manage the launch of our new retail platform. You will be working closely with our existing client base of fashion stores, hair and beauty salons, gyms, restaurants, cafés, bars and boutique retailers to use our online marketing platform that incentives retailers’ best customers to promote their service.
Posse is a fresh idea and with a big vision. Posse originated in the music industry where it enabled artists to empower fans to sell live music event tickets for them. We are now focusing on the retail industry with an exciting and engaging online customer recommendation and referral platform where friends share their favourite places with each other. It's like nothing you have seen before!
Everyone wins: the retailers find new quality customers, the new customers get a great introductory deal and the existing customers get rewarded for Spreading the Love. We launch our exciting new site in June, 2012. Get excited!
Posse’s vision extends to sports, movies, travel and e commerce… anything someone is passionate about, which might be recommended by a fan to a friend. Social commerce is one of the hottest areas in technology innovation as social media accelerate word of mouth promotions.
Posse is a well funded and connected start up with offices in Surry Hills and is backed by companies such as EMI and some very well known tech entrepreneurs and you will be working alongside a dynamic team who have previously worked at companies like Google, Atlassian, Apple, Habbo and Warner Music.
To be selected for our intern program you should have a passion for shopping and discovering and sharing new retail experiences and be well organised. You will also be into social media and adept and comfortable with new technology. We also love enthusiasm, a can do attitude and new ideas!
About the Internship
Posse’s intern program is for those who are passionate about pursuing a career in the Digital Media / Promotions / Marketing area relating to Social Commerce and Online Start Ups. The internships are for 2-3 days per week, for 3 months.
Internships are unpaid however upon completion of the program you will receive a written reference and feedback from one of Australia’s most exciting new start-up businesses!
Internship Objectives.

Internship Duties
The hourly coffee run, cleaning our shoes and taking out the trash… just kidding! Intern duties and responsibilities may vary day to day however some of the things that you will be involved in are
• Spending time with our retail clients to ensure successful activation and launch of the Posse service.
• Providing Posse with customer and merchant feedback.
• Customer support via email and phone
• Updating web page and monitoring social media campaigns
• Sales reports and database entry
• User testing
• Research projects and market intelligence
Assist with organising Media Launch Event
• General admin duties
Hours of Internship
9.30am – 5.30pm 2-3 days per week.
