ABOUT STEP CHANGE MARKETING
Step Change is a creative business consultancy focused on accelerating growth and solving problems for some of the largest and fastest growing companies, ranging from startups to charities to big banks. We typically work with 70 clients every year from Sony Pictures to Sydney Adventist Hospital.
We’re a unique group of strategists with marketing on our resume and entrepreneurialism in our hearts. And that’s what makes us different. We’re driven by building businesses - not all the standard creative marketing ‘bull’.
We’re also a young company – the average age is late 20’s.
On any day, you’ll find the team building strategy with clients, creating new brands and producing outrageous marketing.
We’re a little unconventional. And we don't work with wankers. Watch the videos on our website and you'll understand.

We’re a digital service design agency, and we need your help.
Hailing from Surry Hills, we're a smart, helpful and friendly team wholly committed to bringing our clients visions, ideas and (yes) dreams to life. A tight-knit crew of 10 including strategists, designers, developers and producers, we sport firm handshakes and an eye for detail.
We have a great culture and long, solid relationships with clients that we genuinely care about. We work across the arts, government, tertiary education, entertainment (not the churn stuff), NFP and certain specialist professional services.
Here’s a recent testimonial from one of our clients, University of Sydney:
“What I really like about working with Picket Studio is not only how well they understood the entirety of the project but also how flexible and responsive they were throughout. The project felt like a collaboration of ideas, made sense in every way and we couldn't be happier with it.”

So, where do you fit in?
One of our dearly beloved designers is going on a well deserved break, and we need someone to step up to the plate and take over the reigns (an ability to unmix metaphors is a bonus).
This will be a short stint of:
Helping us document the outcomes of research and workshops in the form of Personas, Service Blueprints, User Journeys, etc.
Capture the concepts and recommendations of the project team in Workflows, Wireframes, Content Architectures, etc.
Evaluating, auditing, testing and reviewing prototypes and recommending improvements for the implementation team.
Generally having a reasonable time and getting along with nice people without being overstressed or undervalued (this stuff is important to us).
Finally, although this ad is about filling an immediate need, there is absolutely room for a longer term arrangement if we like the cut of each others’ jib.
If you think this role would suit you, let’s talk: [..]. We’d appreciate if you could include for us any materials that can help us understand who you are and what you do.
