Graphic Design Position at Don Wood Photography
Don Wood Photography, a leading family owned and operated Photography Studio located in Kingsgrove is currently seeking a Graphic Designer. The role of the in house Graphic Designer at Don Wood Photography is a varied role, and would suit someone who has recently graduated from study in the Graphic Design area.
Day to day design roles include:
-Design of covers for school photos
-Design and production of photo books
-Design and production of school photo albums and proof books
-Photo editing and colour correction in Adobe Photoshop
-Design and production of a wide range of promotional material for both schools and in house usage including flyers, brochures, banners and marketing material
-Design and production of Graduation Books and Certificates
-As well as general office duties including answering emails, sending files for approval, liaising with schools and clients.
This exciting role involves design from start to print, which is a great opportunity for someone who is excited and eager to learn about print design in a photography environment.
Skills necessary for this role include:
-A strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) on a PC platform is a must.
-An interest in Photography and the commercial photography process
-An ability to multi task- as there are always multiple jobs in process
-An ability to work un-supervised and take initiative for work that needs to be completed
-A friendly manner as we are a small team and work closely together
Training will be provided to the successful candidate, including training to use the in house Offset printer and specialist photographic software.
