Graphic Designer

We are a small creative design and digital agency seeking a savvy designer with initiative, a great eye for detail and a fun, easy-going attitude.
Applicants must have experience designing for web and print, and be comfortable putting together creative concepts for an eclectic mix of clients ranging from government, unions, not-for-profit, corporate, creatives and small-to-medium businesses. Because of the nature of our clients, a lot of our work is reactionary, campaign-based and political in nature, which aligns with the ethos and philosophy of our company.
You must be proficient in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and have an in-depth knowledge of print and production processes.
You must have an exceptional understanding of the web design process including user interface design and information architecture. You will be responsible for planning and visually designing websites of varied size and scale. An understanding of HTML/CSS, Javascript interaction methods are ideal.
We’re looking for someone who can create original and innovative concepts, be right across emerging design trends and have a good understanding of social media capabilities.
Rigorous working methods are essential as you will need to handle the day-to-day management of your workflow. You will be required to work both independently and in collaboration with a small team. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be liaising directly with clients.
The right candidate must have a minimum of two+ years of experience and a desire to work for a company that has a strong focus on good design. You must also have a desire to solve design problems for our clients.
The position is initially for a minimum of two days per week, but semi-frequently you would be needed up to full time.
