Graphic Designer - Mid Weight

We are seeking a clever, creative Graphic Designer to support and maintain ModelCo's market and brand presence through innovative design, packaging, image creation and enhancement, web and retail design.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Packaging Design
- Creating and editing die lines
- Developing concepts for packaging artwork
- Creating Logos for new products
Point of Sale
- Create light boxes artwork
- In-store marketing displays
- Create retail ticketing
- Pricing displays and signage
On-line
- Create banner ads
- GIF animations
- Artwork for EDM send-outs
- Newsletter layouts
Print
- Create print ads for magazines
- Event invitations
- Business cards
- Vouchers, posters and other marketing collateral
Image Editing
- Resizing/Reformatting images
- Re-touching
- Deep etching
- Renders and product mock-ups
To be considered for this role, you need to have:
- At least 2 years Graphic Design experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design
- Strong, proven experience in packaging design
- Strong conceptual capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge in design, typography, layouts and pre-press production
- Knowledge of file and colour management for print and web
- An eye for detail
- Happy to work across a range of exciting projects in addition to every day changes and requests
- Able to multi-task and work to meet tight deadlines and timeframes
- A basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro for video editing
- The ability to plan and manage photo shoots
Bonus Skills
- An understanding of website development and management
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS for EDM development
- Knowledge of Flash
