We are currently looking for a part-time Mid-Weight Designer to join our Business Development &
Communications Team! The primary purpose of this role is to grow and maintain a strong and consistent brand positioning through
innovative design across all Surf Life Saving Australia’s marketing channels.
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager
Graphic Design –
and Senior Graphic Designer, the key areas of focus for the role are:
this role has a strong focus on the
creation, design and delivery of key marketing and communications collateral
for the organisation – we have high standards when it comes to brand across
both traditional and non-traditional marketing channels.Design Innovation
– we are always looking at ways we
can improve and enhance our design delivery so we’ll be looking to you to help
bring new ideas and creative concepts to extend the SLSA brand across
traditional and non-traditional marketing channels.Operations and Efficiencies
– Efficiencies are important to us,
particularly when it comes to identifying and negotiating contracts and
processes with suppliers to ensure we are maximizing cost savings, as well as
always looking at ways to improve overall process efficiencies.
We are looking for someone who encompasses the Surf Life
Saving Australia brand and has the following experience and attributes:
working across high profile national brands (we have high standards that are
essential to be met!)
We need a strong
planner! Previous experience in design project management is a must, as well as
exceptional organisation and time management skills
For the technical side,
you will need to have advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign,
Illustrator and Photoshop, and at a digital level; some knowledge of HTML, CSS
and Web Design principles (ideally designing and creating web pages in
WordPress) as well as HTML5 animated banners.
We are fast paced and
constantly moving, so it’s important that you’re adaptable and have the ability
to priortise your workload and conflicting deadlines, all whilst working under

strong verbal and written communication skills
A true sense of
initiative and a strong problem solving ability will help you thrive in this
